Our Process

Here is what you can expect through the several stages of your project. These can vary due to size and scope, but are generally an accurate depiction of what you can expect from start to finish.
Our Process

How We Operate

We follow 5 step process

1

Initial Contact & Estimate

  • Once a new request is received, we will reach out to you for more info.

  • We’ll have a series of questions about your project, budget, timeline, and expectations to make sure we are a good fit.

  • Once we have enough information, we will put a written estimate together and email it to you.

  • Depending on size and scope of your project, you can expect several back-and-forth emails to dial in the details as much as possible.

  • While we do some on site estimating, most of our initial process is done remotely.  This is for efficiency and helps keep our costs down. Please let us know if you would prefer an in-person consultation.

  • We believe in transparency. We offer free remote estimates and have a $250 consultation fee for in person and/or more complex estimates.  The consultation fee is applied to final balance once we are hired.

Contract Signed & Down Payment

2

  • Once you are ready to hire us for your project, a contract will be sent over that can be signed electronically.  It will include scope of work, payment terms, timeline, and language describing liability, termination, insurance, and other pertinent terms.  It’s all pretty straightforward stuff and covers just about any issue that can arise throughout the process so there is no confusion or surprises.

  • As part of our drive for transparency, our contract includes Change Order terms.  You can be assured that there will be ZERO additional charges without prior written notice and consent.

  • We then will collect the down payment, which is required to get on our schedule, and begin the material orders and permitting if necessary.
  •

3

Start Date & Demo

  • Most projects require some degree of demolition. Depending on size and scope, you can expect a dumpster to be placed on the property.

  • We make our best efforts to control our dust. We utilize floor coverings, plastic walls, zipper doors, and other methods to make sure the construction mess stays contained.

  • You can expect a daily tidy up, a weekly clean prior to the weekend, and deep cleaning at project end. This is often a very loud stage so be aware that it will be considerable noisey.

4

Build Phase

  • Our average project runs between 4-8 weeks. The build phase is almost always 3-7 of those weeks.

  • We try to move all of our projects forward as efficiently as possible. There may be some days where no work is being done, and usually means one trade is waiting for another. Any instances such as these will be communicated ahead of time and will keep you as aware as possible with scheduling along the way..

5

Punch List & Final Payment

  • Once the bulk of work is completed, we perform a walkthrough and create our punch list.

  • A punch list are all items that may have gotten missed or need attention.

  • Once we are satisfied, we will do a walkthrough with you to make sure you are satisfied as well.

  • Final payment will be made once everything is completed and signed off on.

  • We are a small business and would love to earn 5 stars from you. Please leave us a review and let us know how we did!
